Met Le reste du monde en Le monde d’après verkent Jean-Christophe Chauzy de dierlijkheid van een moeder tegenover de dreiging die over haar kinderen hangt. Chauzy is de allround auteur van dit briljant toekomstverhaal waar de natuur in opstand komt tegen de mens en hij vernieuwt er zich totaal in. Tezelfdertijd bewijst hij een uitzonderlijk regisseur te zijn, de directe inkleuring perfect te beheersen en een vaardigheid te beheersen om de lay-out van een pagina opnieuw uit te vinden.
