Floc\u2019h n\u2019\u00e9tait-il pas id\u00e9alement plac\u00e9 pour cette aventure, lui qui, d\u00e8s 1977, avait r\u00e9invent\u00e9 la Ligne claire avec Le Rendez-vous de Sevenoaks (sc\u00e9nario : Rivi\u00e8re) ?<\/p>\n

Avec L\u2019Art de la Guerre, il porte un regard prodigieux sur l\u2019univers mythique cr\u00e9\u00e9 par E-P Jacobs, celui d\u2019un huis-clos new-yorkais mettant en sc\u00e8ne le face \u00e0 face in\u00e9dit entre le duo britannique et Olrik. Dans ce r\u00e9cit hors-normes, meurtres, science-fiction et sc\u00e8nes th\u00e9\u00e2trales c\u00e8dent la place \u00e0 un duel psychologique de haute intensit\u00e9 qui se d\u00e9ploie entre le Metropolitan Museum et le b\u00e2timent moderniste des Nations Unies.<\/p>\n

Was Floc\u2019h niet ideaal geplaatst voor dit avontuur, want had hij in 1977 al niet de Klare lijn heruitgevonden met Rendez-vous in Sevenoaks<\/i> (scenario: Rivi\u00e8re)?<\/p>\n

Met De kunst van het oorlogvoeren<\/i> brengt hij een verbluffende nieuwe kijk op het mythische universum van E-P Jacobs, dat van een New Yorkse eenakter waarin een ongeziene confrontatie gebracht wordt tussen het Britse duo en Olrik. In dit buitengewone verhaal ruimen moorden, sciencefiction en theatrale sc\u00e8nes baan voor een psychologisch duel van hoge spanning dat zich afspeelt tussen het Metropolitan Museum en het modernistische gebouw van de Verenigde Naties.<\/p>\n

Floc\u2019h was the ideal artist for this adventure, because, after all, it was he who had reinvented the \u2018Ligne claire\u2019 in 1977 with Le Rendez-vous de Sevenoaks<\/i> (written by Rivi\u00e8re).<\/p>\n

With L\u2019Art de la Guerre<\/i>, he takes a tremendous look into the mythical universe created by E-P Jacobs, through an intense drama in a New York setting featuring an original face-to-face between the British duo and Olrik. In this extraordinary story, murders, science fiction and theatrical scenes give way to a high-intensity psychological duel which unfolds between the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the modernist United Nations building.<\/p>\n

Floc\u2019h chooses to work on very large format pages (77 x 58 cm<\/b>), on which the plasticity of his line takes on a fascinating dimension. Each panel combines elegance, fullness and feeling.
