Avec « Un flic sous l’occupation » (2 Tomes / Ed. Glénat), le dessinateur Jean-Michel Beuriot et son scénariste Philippe Richelle nous replongent dans les heures sombres du Paris occupé des années 40 et dans une France plus que jamais divisée.
Cette période que le duo affectionne tant, et où prenait déjà place l’ambitieuse saga « Amours Fragiles » (9 Tomes / Casterman), sert de cadre à une intrigue qui se veut cette fois plus policière et qui rappelle les meilleures enquêtes de Léon Sadorski, le héros à la personnalité aussi ambigüe que complexe des romans de Romain Slocombe.
Dans ce milieu interlope qu’était « La Carlingue », où la criminalité ordinaire se met au service de la répression, du chantage, de la délation et de l’enrichissement personnel, s’entremêlent les destins de différents protagonistes : repris de justice vivant confortablement à la solde des Nazis et policiers tiraillés entre la volonté de bien faire et les opportunités juteuses qu’offre le marché noir. Ce diptyque nous invite à réfléchir sur les choix et les conséquences d’une action engagée en temps de guerre.
Comme toujours, le trait précis et raffiné de Jean-Michel Beuriot ajoute une part de sensibilité à ce récit implacable. La galerie Champaka sera très heureuse d’inaugurer sa rentrée avec un magnifique dispositif d’originaux couvrant les 2 tomes de ce récit sous haute tension !

Met “Een flik tijdens de bezetting » (2 delen / Uit. Glénat) dompelen tekenaar Jean-Michel Beuriot en zijn scenarist Philippe Richelle ons onder in de sombere tijden van een bezet Parijs in de jaren 40 en een meer dan ooit verdeeld Frankrijk.
Deze période, die zo een indruk maakt op het duo en al als decor diende voor de ambitieuze saga « Oorlog en Liefde » (9 delen /Casterman), dient nu als kader voor een intrige dat deze keer meer detective is en doet denken aan de beste onderzoeken van Leon Sadorski, de held met de complexe en tweezijdige persoonlijkheid uit de romans van Romain Slocombe.
In dit louche milieu van « La Carlingue » waar gewone criminaliteit in dienst staat van repressie, chantage, verklikking en persoonlijke verrijking, vermengen de losbestemmingen van de verschillende spelers zich met mekaar : vigilante gerechtigheid met de zegen van de Nazi’s en agenten die zich verscheurd voelen tussen de wil goed te doen en de sappige kansen van de zwarte markt. Dit tweeluik nodigt ons uit na te denken over de keuzen en de gevolgen van daden die oorlogtijd werden begaan.
Zoals altijd voegt de precieze en verfijnde lijnvoering van Jean-Michel Beuriot een gevoelige noot bij dit onverbiddelijk verhaal. Galerij Champaka zal met genoegen de herfst inluiden met een schitterende selectie originelen uit de twee delen van dit hoogspanningverhaal !
